Slowly but Surely

Dear Friends and Wine Lovers,

I wanted to share how things are shaping up in the vineyard. As many of you know, we took a hit from the spring frost, which set us back a bit. The vines woke up, got frosted and had to wake up again, which means later than we typically expect, and we've been watching the calendar closely.

The good news is that flowering is officially on its way! It's a little slower than usual, but as I walk the rows, I can see that my girls have really bounced back. The canopy is coming along, the growth is balanced, and they look incredibly healthy given the rough start. I am genuinely quite happy with where we stand.

Now, I am keeping everything crossed for the weather ahead. If the rest of the summer gives us a balanced mix of warm sunshine—exactly like the beautiful weather we're enjoying today— and timely rain, I have a strong feeling the quality of this vintage will be something to remember. Stay tuned!
